We live in a fast paced world with increasing demands and uncertainty. We all experience stress in our lives on a daily basis, it’s a factor of life and so it makes sense to learn how to manage it. We all need a certain amount of stress to help us remain alert, perform, reach deadlines and pass tests or exams.
WHAT IS STRESS:
When we are stressed our body releases adrenaline and cortisol to help us defend against attack (fight) or run away from danger (flight). We all need release strategies to expel the adrenaline and cortisol released in our body to avoid a build up, which can lead to ill health and emotional concerns.
Severe stress unmanaged can lead to all sorts of problems such as high blood pressure, lowered immune system, IBS, indigestion, heart-burn, chest pains, grinding your teeth (Bruxism) agitation, depression, aggression, sleep problems, sexual difficulties, anxiety, depression, fears and phobias.
